Young people matter

Young people matter to God and therefore to us at Eyam Church, so we have groups on Sundays and during the week where young people can meet each other and together meet with God.

Impact

Impacting young lives and impacting our community.

Impact is for school years 6-9 and meets in the Church Centre every Monday during term time from 6pm - 7.45 pm.  We love games in Impact and start with a variety of energetic, interactive games, and enjoy being out on the field on sunny days!

Each evening we have a challenge, game and short discussion to help us explore who Jesus is, and how the Christian faith is relevant to our lives.  And what’s more, we always have some tasty snacks, the favourite being pizza!  Each term we head out for a trip such as laser quest or bowling, or an ice cream parlour.  We also have ‘special’ nights such as ‘Masterchef’ and Impact does bake off’!

Impact also engages with the community and has hosted a cake and coffee evening for the community of Eyam.  We look forward to more opportunities to serve the village.

GIG

GIG stands for God Is Good and is for young people in school years 10-13.  GIG meets at Eyam Church Centre every Monday from 7.30 - 9.15 pm. We alternate between discussion weeks and social weeks.  On the discussion weeks we engage in the Bible and explore issues relevant to life and how following Jesus could make a difference.  On the social weeks we chill out together with activities including games, walks, table tennis, board games….  We enjoy heading out for a meal out or bowling etc.! Gig had a fun trip out to play Crown green bowling with one of the young people’s grandad and a couple of others from Bradwell bowls club. It was brilliant fun!

Every week involves food, fun and laughter!

Deeper

Deeper meets half termly on a Sunday evening 6pm-8pm in either Eyam Church Centre or at Good News Church, Whaley Bridge. It is a time for young people from across the area to come together to worship and engage with a relevant Christian theme as well as enjoying friendship and snacks.

CYFA

CYFA is a group for 11 - 18 year olds, meeting in Eyam Church Centre during the 11.00 am service most Sundays. It is a time to explore what it means to be a disciple of Jesus.  The sessions start off with a hot drink and snacks, a fun activity to break the ice before getting into the theme of the day. We often split into 2 different age groups to tackle a variety of Bible passages and issues that help us discover more about following Jesus. We also put our faith into action through events such as fundraising for Tearfund, or serving at church community events.

Camps

We also think getting away together is really important to build relationships, explore faith and enjoy each other’s company!  Contact us for more information about our next residential camp!
